Lockvogel means “decoy” in German, but don’t let the name fool you — this is the real deal. Wenzel’s Lockvogel is made with Gelber Muskateller from Burgenland, Austria. This is orange wine, a product of skin contact maceration, fermented with wild yeast and no additives added. Bone dry, with scents of citrus peels, chamomile, saffron, toasted nuts and linseed oil, this one’s a charmer. Try with white meat and stir-fries.
