Silvaner is the star in Ipophen, Franken, the German wine region home to Andi Weigand and his organically tended vines. In many ways, this is the estate’s flagship wine. The vines are over 40 years old, and the fruit is juicy and concentrated. Expect herbal notes and spicy undertones over a creamy palate, proper of extended lees ageing. This is superb with white meat and creamy pasta.
