Saint-Emillion, Bordeaux, France

Saint Emilion, Bordeaux. The Pueyo family has been actively involved in the world of winemaking for three centuries and has owned Château Belregard-Figeac since 1853, now passing into the fifth generation with Christophe at the helm.Their commitment to organic agriculture began in 2010, managing a vineyard spanning 16 hectares, with 7 located within the AOC Saint Emilion, including 1.5 hectares dedicated to white grapes. Since 2017, they have embraced biodynamic methods in vine cultivation, earning Ecocert certification. Maturation takes place in barriques, tonneaux, large barrels, and even a few amphorae.
With ten parcels across diverse terrains, from gravelly soils near Libourne to clay-silica-silt soils near Fronsac, and limestone-rich soils near Nérigean, the source of the Cuvée Blanc, Pueyo embodies the essence of its origin. Their wines skillfully balance fruitiness while allowing the distinctive terroir to shine through. In their bold execution, Pueyo maintains a steadfast commitment to stability in their wines.
