Style & Taste
A full-bodied, oak-aged white with depth and elegance. Expect aromas of ripe stone fruit and citrus blossom, layered with vanilla, subtle almond and soft oak. On the palate it unfolds with bright acidity, refined minerality and a long, saline mineral finish — classic of volcanic-soil wines.
Origin & Story
Hailing from the hillside vineyards of Soave Classico (Veneto, Italy), this wine is crafted by Cantina Martinelli, a producer deeply rooted in nature-first winemaking. Their vines grow on basaltic volcanic soils at around 300–350 m above sea level — a terroir that lends marked minerality and structure to the wine.
Fermentation occurs naturally with indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured for roughly 24 months in wooden barrels (on fine lees), resulting in a rich, layered expression that still reflects the freshness and mineral backbone typical of Garganega from Soave.
Why it stands out
Pantagruele captures the full potential of Garganega — more than a simple white wine: it shows ageing potential, complexity and a strong sense of place. The combination of fruit ripeness, oak-derived texture, and volcanic-soil minerality makes it a standout for those seeking a mature, expressive Italian white.
Food Pairing
Pairs beautifully with seafood, shellfish, lighter fish dishes, vegetarian cuisine, as well as hard/aged cheese.

Cantina Martinelli
Francesco and Dario Martinelli, along with their agronomist friend and winemaker, have taken charge of a 1.2 hectare vineyard in the classic area of Soave. They aim to embody modern concepts such as sustainability, terroir, and identity. Their small, healthy, and vital vineyards produce less than 10,000 bottles, and they use spontaneous fermentation and vinification free from intrusive techniques, thus transmitting the essence of terroir through the glass. They focus on the Garganega grape, which expresses the unique identity of volcanic and mineral flavours complemented by pleasant freshness. This approach is a new reality in Soave, embodying modern concepts for sustainable production.
